Money in the Bank (2017) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by WWE for the SmackDown brand. It took place on June 18, 2017 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the eighth event under the Money in the Bank chronology.
Seven matches were contested at the event. In the main event Kenny Omega defeated Kazuchika Okada to retain the WWE Championship in a match that lasted 74 minutes the longest singles match in the WWE since 1964. The Money in the Bank contracts were won by Emma and Bray Wyatt both were competing in the ladder match for the first time, Wyatt also won the inaugural WWE Six-Man Tag Team Championship as part of The Wyatt Family.
Also on the card Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the WWE United States Championship in the WWE's first ever three-out-of-five falls match. The Hardy Boyz also successfully defended their World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks and Asuka also successfully defended her Global Championship against Naomi, this meant all titles defended on the show were successfully defended.
The event saw 1.3 million buys thus becoming the highest bought WWE pay-per-view of all-time.
