The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling women's tag team championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE. It is the only women's tag team championship for WWE's main roster, thus is defended across both the Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The current champions are the Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair who are in their first reign as champions.
The championships were originally established on May 13, 1983 with Princess Victoria and Velvet McIntyre being the inaugural champions who were NWA Women's Tag Team Champions when the then WWF withdrew from the NWA in 1983 and were recognised as the first WWF Women's Tag Team Champions. In 1989 the championships were abandoned due to the lack of women's tag teams in the division. In 2015 the WWE announced plans to reintroduce the titles and the first champions following the revival of the titles were The Bella Twins, these championships are classed as having the same lineage as the original titles. The championship was originally established to be available to Raw, SmackDown, and WWE's developmental territory NXT, but after a controversial finish to a title defense in March 2021, the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship was created, thus the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship became no longer available to NXT.
